Oz Hunter
Here at OzHunter we our members support hunting for conservation practices and can assist in the managment of your feral animals.

Day 2 of the website.

Most people by now should be fully aware of the website is up and running, and although there has been a couple of teething problems everything seems to be going okay.

The main problem seems to be some defence people are having trouble using the URL http://www.ozhunter.com so if you know of someone that works in defence of my pay to give them the IP address http://59.167.254.22

The first 100 stubby coolers are almost gone so if you are thinking about joining, don't wait any longer and she will miss out.

Welcome to the Platinum task membership.

We have our first Platinum member, very good friend of mine Paul, here is generously offered to donate his time to help us all create an online community.  Thanks Paul.

As a Platinum member he will also have the ability to have his Blog on this site, so you might be hearing from him shortly.

Welcome our new administrator.

Although I would like to spend all my time trolling this website and doing the day-to-day maintenance that is required, there are never enough hours in the day and I have to get out hunting sometimes. Cool  to help me with the job of administering and maintaining this website a friend of mine has also offered to help. His user name is Ceely, if you seen around give him a hard time from me.

Talk to you soon.

Thanks.  Yes I hope it benifits us all.  I know when I was doing some research into other hunting website, there was not one that helped people communicate with each other.

There were websites that allowed you to upload images and stories, but none were trying to create a community.

Hence why I came up with this site.  It has the ability for everyone to share their photos and stories, while communicating through the forum but also gives everyone a place in the community where they can put their own photos, files, videos or what ever...  And you can share these with you hunting mates..

As with all websites its a flowing and moving beast, and its future will be dictated by you the member.  The more feedback I get back the better I can make the website.

So keep the comments coming.

I hate to think what stories you have heard, especially knowing the source from which you would of heard it.. Smile

I can see that in the up and coming months this site will be full of very interesting stories.  All true of course.

Well done on the sight fella....though I must say there are one or two rather celubrious characters who have joined...ay bob !!!...lol.

I sincerely hope that this turns into a premier website where anyone can go to find honest and reliable information and share a fellowship of the art of hunting and all the associated joys.

Cheers mate.

Thanks for your comments and words of advice (re - bob)...  Yes I do hope it turns into a great place for all of use to come to.  As with any community website it requires a active community.  Its future success and value is with you and the other members.  All I can do is create what you guys want.

I think the key word is active.  It requires everyone to be active in posting in the forums, media and talking to each other.  Another way to build a great community to to tell other people about it and recommend them.  The more people we can get on board in the early stages of the site the bigger the chance it has to survive.  That is why I am chucking a heap of my own money and time into it.  I want it to work for all of us.  As a hunting communty it is something that is missing and we need to make it work.

Glad to see the site is up and running! Being an avid reader of Hunting/Shooting mags I thought I would mention A really good magazine and one that seems to be on the decline. Firstly the latest issue(25th) of Hunter Magazine is surely the best ever. With a bunch of really well written and interesting articles covering a good cross section of game. On the other hand the Boys club that is Sporting Shooter Magazine continues its decline with the usual boring stories and really badly edited content (incorrect subtitles for photos just the beginning) being the norm. The only real bright spot is Col Alison who only recently returned to the fold its a pity they didnt make him the new editor!
